Your problems are a mercy!

27 Sep

Fudaayl saw a man complaining of his problems to another man who was not going through difficulty. So Fudaayl said to the man, are you complaining about the One who has mercy on you to the one who will not have mercy on you.

  • When we go through problems we tend to complain about our problems, not realizing that the person we are complaining to cannot help us.
  • Most of our problems– if one deeply reflects over their past — are actually mercies from Allah SWT.

It is a separate discussion: What if Arabs were not given wealth / oil they would have less enemies beside they would have simple life

walikum as-salam, sorry I don’t recommend any tafsir in English except ibn Kathir, and even that in English does not do justice. Best thing is to learn Arabic or get someone to translate ibn ‘ashoor, baydawi, tabari and others. Sorry couldn’t be more help.

      Take care.
