And He is Allah; there is no deity except Him. To Him is all praise in the first and the Hereafter. And His is the final decision, and to Him you will be returned. [28:70]
- Hamd is a form of worship based on love and honor. It is a sincere and true praise that the mahmood (the one who is praised) deserves.
- What does the first praise mean? Whether a creation exists or not, Allah deserves praise and accordingly worship. Why?
- Because He is perfect and only a perfect being deserves worship. This is the primary reason why we worship Allah.
- Prophet SAW, the most perfect worshipper of Allah, said on his deathbed, “you [O Allah] are perfect; I have not fulfilled your right of worship as you deserve.”
