And proclaim to mankind for Hajj; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass [22:27]

When Allah SWT told Ibrahim AS to call mankind for Hajj, he said: “how can I convey this, when my voice will not reach them”. Allah told him to proclaim and He will convey it. Ibrahim AS announced, “O mankind! Your Lord has established a house so perform piligrimage to it.” The mountains lowered themselves so that his voice would reach the entire earth. People continue to come and will do so until Qiyamah, procliaiming,لبيك اللهم لبيك لبيكat Your service, O Allah, at Your service.[Tabari & ibn Kathir]

How true are Allah’s words!

  • Means from every route.
  • Mean from far distances.
